I was very unsure of whether I would like this or not, the concept was cool, and the idea of walking in a VR world was amazing, but I had a lot of people telling me that a VR treadmill is not fun to use. I went to an arcade that featured one of these before I tried it, and to begin with, yes absolutely there was a learning curve. Paid about $15 to try this thing for 30 minutes and they were right, there is a learning curve. However, when you finally get it down, and when you’re running around you really get into it. I can honestly say, the immersive feel of walking around a world, or let’s be honest running around a world is absolutely phenomenal. The level of immersion I feel is absolutely amazing. Walking around in Skyrim, running towards or away from Zombies in Surv1v3, running around with your buddies in RecRoom all while giving you a killer workout, makes this omnidirectional treadmill something that VR enthusiasts like me have been about since I saw the Ready Player One treadmill, albeit, its definitely not the same as that one..
The software is a bit unpredictable at times, seems like I have to reset it when i first start it up, but that’s just a few seconds to get it reset and then it’s back up and running. The seller also really backs up this purchase, helping when asked, and there is technical support that is available when needed, but for the most part, little support is needed.
